We want to be the best in matching (prospective) renters and rental vendors. You Rent It does not rent anything. We provide information about events, ideas, products to rent and rental vendors.

We take a broad view of rental. Many people associate the words "rent" or "rental" with apartments, real estate, vehicles or equipment. But you can also rent venues (party rooms, banquet halls, ...), products (party rental equipment, ...), services (event planners, catering, dj's, ...), technology (software, ...), information (videos, music, data, ...) and many other things. Even though you might not always use the word "rent" (e.g., you "hire" a event planner), it is still rent - broadly defined.

Initially, we focus on rentals related to parties and events. We have started with vendors that are based in the Chicago and New York City metropolitan areas; a number of them serve customers nation-wide.

  Together we know a lot more than any of us. Together, we know what is for rent, new ideas in rental, who rents what, or how good the vendor is. "We" and "all of us" include particularly you, our users. You have experience with events where rental is involved, with rental products and rental vendors. The more you share your knowledge, the better that other renters can make a rental decision.

• All employees share in the results

  After an initial vesting period, any employee who contributes to our organization can share in the results through equity ownership. Non-vested employees will get bonus rewards depending on company performance.

• Act with integrity

  We mean what we say, we say what we mean. We promise what we'll do, and we do what we promise. Our word is our bond.

• Act with common sense

  Acting with common sense in every aspect, and adhering to fundamental principles of management, are faster ways to effectiveness and efficiency.

• Value (prospective) renters even more than rental vendors

  If (prospective) renters are satisfied, vendors will come. If renters are not satisfied, attracting new vendors will not help. If objectives of renters and vendors conflict, those of renters will prevail.

• Value existing customers even more than new ones

  If existing customers (renters or vendors) are satisfied, new ones will come. If existing customers are not satisfied, attracting new ones will not help.

• Treat everyone with respect

  No one has a monopoly on "best." Therefore, anyone, the next user, the next renter, the next vendor, or the next employee, can contribute and should be allowed, and encouraged, to do so.

• Opt-in

  Any user whose information appears on our site(s) has requested or pro-actively decided to allow such information to appear. Users' information is on our site only because they wanted it to be on our site.

USA: You Rent It.com helps you find vendors for products to rent for your party or event. You Rent It.com emphasizes primarily the Chicago metro area, and secondarily New York City and the tri-state area. At any given time, we may or may not feature vendors covering other metro areas in the U.S.A., e.g., Boston MA, Fort Lauderdale FL, Philadelphia PA, Pittsburgh PA, Washington DC, and Los Angeles CA.
